Monarch Pilgrimage

Jan. 26

Silent joy

Full-breathed understanding

Lofty dreams,

Fiery sparks of life, the butterflies fly their dance of encantation

Murmuring True Tones and splashing smiles on all those below

We stand on the mountain and…

draw up from the Earth steady, building blocks, stability, Home.

Draw down from the Heavens, airy inspiration, visions whispered in the wind that find root in our Hearts.

Singing praise I thread silk lines of gratitude to the Grace around.

And remember… the Legend of the forest faery

Butterflies, daughters of the sun. Messengers of light.

Reminders to shed weight and take flight- to where? You might ask.

To every flower you might fancy- from one garden to the next- forest and plains- home.

The oldest trees sustain the world.

Rooting us in place, drawing up forces of the deep Earth.

Embracing the skies, seeking out always the sun.

The mountains- they say- are the bones of the world.

Messages of an older time- geological growth.

Grandfathers to our younger existence. Upholding our stories, our beliefs, profound truths.
