The Unifying Patterns in Nature were described by the Biomimicry Institute, a group of scientists and designers dedicated to applying observations in nature to human design. Traditionally applied to architecture and industrial design, I was curious if implications could be made to human organization and collaboration. Inspiration came from the fascinating Reinventing Organizations, and the course I was currently auditing at Prescott College named Form and Pattern in Nature.
Further outcome of this line of thinking has led me to:
-Explore Otto Scharmer’s Theory of U, for allowing companies and its members to search for meaning and connection.
-Apply a Non-Violent Communication workshop with my team, that has an aligned vision of organizations.
-Continue offering human development workshops and retreats to align vision, mission, action and nature.
The format of academic poster was immediately attractive to me, allowing me to explore my frustrated career as an information designer, and later led to creating infographics on mushrooms, birds, and other of my interests.
